Tiny Archibald working at Sixers

AS Philly's pick of Speedy Claxton really that much of a surprise? Not if you paid attention to what scout Tiny Archibald was saying about him. Tiny must've seen him play 10 times this season alone, and he thought he was the best point guard in the draft. If only Larry Brown will let him loose.
More importantly, Archibald's impending promotion to assistant coach, I submit, means management has decided not to trade Allen Iverson.
Getting through to The Answer will be Tiny's primary function. Both are street smart guys who talk the same backcourt and walk the same backgrounds. Unlike the rest of the Sixer coaches, Tiny isn't afraid to critique Allen immediately (as he did in training camp last season) when need be, instead of waiting until things and tempers get out of hand.
And Iverson genuinely respects Archibald. Maybe even reveres him. When Tiny left the team last November to return to his teaching job in New York, Allen was begging him to stay. This time they'll both stay.
