The Toshiba Red Thunders defeated the Mitsubishi Electric Dolphins by a
71-61 score in Sunday's All Japan Basketball Championships at Tokyo's
Yoyogi No.2 Gym.

Toshiba star Stephen Bardo, whose wife and two sons were also at the
game, had to fight back tears of joy as the team rejoiced on the court.

"It's great to be a part of history," Bardo said. "We've been together
for four years and have worked real hard. With this coming in the year
2000, its really special."

p.s. I wonder if Pitino can schedule a confidence-building road game
against the frazzled Electric Dolphins?
