Re: LAST NIGHT

I don't know if Pitino can salvage his act but to date it has been
horrendous. The way I see things we would need a major improvement in our
team using his coaching philosophies just to offset his managerial skills.
This in my opinion isn't necessary. We are only 2-3 players away from being
a very good playoff team. Value wise, the team comes out way ahead of our
coach and General Manager or what the hell his titles are. Aside from some
development from Pierce and the new birth of Anderson and the addition of
Griffin the team is in disarray. We do get a few wins despite coach Pitino.

The first half I was glad I stayed up, but the second one I, like others,
couldn't stand it any more and shut off the set at the end of the 3rd
quarter. It was obvious to me then that most of the problem was Pitino -
even though, granted, the players weren't as fired up as they should have
been. To blame the players, when they know if they get a foul he'll
probably take them out is asking for trouble. Then he sat them on the
bench for so long they went cold and never could do anything when they
finally got back in. Tommy kept asking why Pierce didn't start the third
quarter - he also made a remark about letting them sit until they are cold,
etc. I wonder if RP knows how nuts he looks on the sidelines screaming?

some of you think he is, he would not need to micromanage the game the way
he does. I hope he's done after this year, one way or the other. I know
some don't agree, but that's the way I feel and believe me, you will never
change that, no matter how much you defend him. And another thing - he
thinks he's the star of this team. He loves the spotlight, wants to be
noticed - why do you think he trades quips with the crowd? He'll never
want to work as the President or whatever because he won't have his face
(and mouth) in front of the cameras. The honeymoon has been over for quite
some time. I think it's the coach who is immature, not the players.
