According to the Boston Herald:

"Calbert Cheaney is being put on the injured list with what is being called
tendinitis in his right knee. In point of fact, his wife is about to deliver
the couple's first child and there have been complications with the process.
The Celtics didn't want Cheaney this far away from Boston at this time."

I wonder if Cheaney really is injured or if he was inactivated just so
they could activate Williams? If so, that's not a real stride forward in
the defense department.
