Is this from local sources in LA (that it is close to happening)?
It seems like a weird deal but it could make sense if both teams
re-traded some of the players. Mo Taylor could head to Detroit
(with more cap filler) for the rights to Bison Dele. I don't see
exactly how Mo fits in with the Lakers. I could see them moving 
Kobe back to the 3 and playing him alongside Derek Anderson, or
trading him for Kukoc as you say.

What do the Clippers do with Rice? They're probably not interested
in giving him a huge contract at the end of the year. I would assume
they would want to ship him for multiple players, preferably locked 
own to longer term contracts. For Geiger and Hughes from Philly?
Hughes is under the new rookie contract which makes him more attractive
to the Clipper. The Clippers can absorb the cap hit from Geiger's trade
triggered salary increase.
