Re: No Magic for C's today

Title: No Magic for C's today
In looking at this team I think that we certainly have the players to have a much better record.   However, this team is poorly coached and seems to be directionless.   I think that generally we have skilled players such as Walker, Pierce, Anderson, Battie, Stith, Potapenko, Williams etc. and I could envision them being a good team if they played as a team and not as a bunch of individuals.  Certainly Pitino has not done a good job of coaching.  It's brutal watching this team with their mostly individual play.   They certainly don't play smart.  Don't you think if Phil Jackson or Pat Riley were coaching this team that they'd be a 500 plus team.   I'm not saying that these players are the best in the league but certainly good enough, given the right coaching, to make the playoffs.

I was ecstatic when Pitino became coach because he had been successful everywhere he coached so why not with the C's?   I have become disillusioned with this team.    I think I wasted my money on the NBA Season Pass package.

   There surely was no fire.
Anderson seems to be sleep walking, although he has been very efficient the last three games.
Palacio is getting his game. He drove to the hoop well and hit one jumper. He did turn down an open shot late in the game which led to a Vitaly turnover and an easy layup for McGrady. Palacio has to take that shot.
Vitaly played a terrible game. he bricked four foul shots, almost in a row, in the 4th Q.
Battie hurt his ankle with the C's up by three in the second Q. It looked bad.
Pierce got three early fouls and never got out of the grip of Outlaw.
Antoine is still trying to do too much late in the games. Vitaly was wide open several times as Walker spun into traffic.
Chris Carr played much of the first half after Pierce got his third foul and was exceptional, scoring all 14 . He played briefly in the second half and only got two shots.
This was another game that was handed to us on a plate and they just didn't play smart. It was painful to watch and very similar to the N.J. game,we fought hard and played comeback several times, except there were no heroics.
