Sorry if this was posted already...just thought they're interesting(Vancouver rumor)...if they are serious about offering Bibby and Dickerson, then trading Kenny and Pierce might be a possiblity if Pitino's hot for another blockbuster trade...

The obvious snag to sully Monday's Pierce-Nowitzki reunion is a Celtics funk no less prodigious than Manny Ramirez's new contract. Boston has dropped its past two home games, to Chicago and Sacramento, by an average of 20.5 points. If this keeps up, The Rick will have to finally end the tease and walk away for good.

Not that anyone should be surprised that the Celtics look so uninspired, in spite of Pierce's efforts. When Pitino tells them, more than once, that everyone might be better off if he resigns, it's only a matter of time before the kids believe it. Telling your own players that you're thinking about quitting -- again and again -- is only inviting them to quit first.

Quirky twist on mutiny, isn't it? Forget those player revolts in Seattle and Denver. In Boston, the allegedly increasing uncoachability of the modern athlete can't generate headlines like the coach/adult/authority figure who isn't sure if he wants to keep his job. This should have been a season to celebrate Pierce's return from a horrific attack, a near-death experience, and that we still get to see him every day. Instead, all we hear is how Pitino wants to see more defense out of him.


Vancouver's Dick Versace is now admitting publicly -- "Maybe we will have to blow things up," he said Sunday -- what has been known in GM circles for the past few weeks. Namely, that everyone on the Grizzlies' roster except Shareef Abdur-Rahim is available. Othella Harrington remains candidate No. 1 to be traded, but Mike Bibby and Michael Dickerson could go as well. Grizz are 3-16 since that 4-1 start.
