An Evil Omen

Man, this is a real bad omen for the league. This is the 2nd trade
in a row in which rich teams have gotten richer, and poor teams have
taken discards and liked it. What's especially galling is that New York,
with the biggest market and deepest pockets of all the teams involved,
is committing highway robbery on the Lakers and Sonics. That selfish
old bum, with his gimpy legs, monstrous ego, grotesque game and immense
contract
makes Kenny Anderson look like a hungry young rookie with the floor skills
of Bob
Cousy and the selflessness of Andrew DeClerq. That they managed
to trade him two days before his expiration date for Glen Rice AND Vin
Baker,
I mean, that's just sick. Either we get Bird and the Billionaire, or we are
seriously
going to be a 2nd rate power at this rate.

(p.s. spare me the "we already are a 2nd rate power, etc. etc." I mean in
the long
term, non-Pitino non Walker non-Gaston sense.)
