The Knicks may want to save Postell for a Celtics deal for Fortson.
Boston avidly shopped for a shooting guard and struck out last month.
The Celtics did sign a backup point guard, Randy Brown, last week,
putting an end to their interest in Chris Childs. The Knicks could've
dealt Childs and Andrew Lang for Fortson, Calbert Cheaney and Doug
Overton last month but the Celtics wanted $3 million thrown in the deal
and the Knicks balked.
