Wow. More List traffic than you can shake a stick at, all because
some Chi-town radio joint reports some rumor. At best, this rumor is
Chicago's first or second offer to the Celts. At worst, it's totally
fabricated. Are there any _real_ signs that the C's are actively
trying to free up cap space next year? We just signed Randy Brown to
a three-year deal, remember.
Some local yokel drums up a
"hometown-boy-returns-for-our-extra-power-forward" pipe dream and
it's a field day on the Celts List. We best check what's in that
pipe if we're having visions of tanking the season in our heads.
(The thought makes me want to retch.)
Tank the season? Liven things up? There's a whole lot of a "changes
for changes' sake" kind of thing going on that just doesn't seem
warranted. Does anyone seriously think this trade actually happens?
