RE: eerie quiet

Just reported that Mercer signed with Chicago as some predicted upon Jones
going to Miami so there goes one option. I've never been a big Mercer fan
but was okay with getting him with the exception. Also EPSN reported
Croshere has agreed with Indiana on a 7 yr 51M deal. That is extremely rich
and let him stay in Indiana for that kind of money. That is crazy money for
what I believe is an unproven commodity. Is the NBA turning into the lotto
where you have to pay crazy money for players who are not even all-pros
(Croshere,McGrady) yet? If that's the case, I say keep our picks and at
least you are protected with the new rules from overpaying your draft picks.
Another example is this Wahad character who will get 7 yrs. 40M+ from
Denver. Talk about a cap killer (a Kenny Anderson deal).

One prediction I'll make is that some of these people who have said they
"have no interest in the exception" will end up taking it. Those are the
agents speaking.

Boy all that talk about being aggressive may end up being lip service.
Unless Pierce is traded - the changes may not even be considered cosmetic.
