Re: patience and stability



I agree with Pitino.  This group is definitely a
playoff team in the Eastern conference, but so what? 
The point is to build a contender.  I think he's
considering trading Antoine.  That line about "Antoine
will never be a great defensive player" jibes against
his earlier assertion that the celtics would never win
until Pierce and Antoine were the two best defensive
players.  I really feel like Kenny is the one that has
to go, though.  I can't understand why nobody seems to
see.  Even Peter May gives Kenny the best grades in
his player analysis this week.  I really think we need
to unload some salary this offseason too.  Pierce is
going to want a BIG contract, and I don't see Paul
Gaston paying $40 million in luxury tax.  He's already
going to be paying a lot as is.  Maybe I misunderstand
how this works.  


I don't know.  I feel like if we had a no-frills,
no-name defensive oriented point guard and a
shotblocking center who could block 3+ shots a night,
we would be ok.  We need to get back to pressing more.
