Celtics player arrested for disorderly conduct

Boston Celtics center Vitaly Potapenko was arrested this morning at Logan
International Airport, and faces charges of disorderly conduct, authorities
said.
Potapenko reportedly was seen arguing with a woman in one of the airport's
terminals shortly after midnight, said State Police Sgt. Edwin Anderson.
Anderson declined to identify the woman, but said she was Potapenko's
girlfriend.
Massachusetts Port Authority employees called state police to break up the
altercation. When troopers arrived, Potapenko and the woman were in the
terminal's parking lot.
Police asked Potapenko to leave the scene and he refused, Anderson said.
Troopers subsequently arrested Potapenko, Anderson said.
Potapenko was released on his own recognizance, and was scheduled to be
arraigned later today in East Boston District Court.
It was not immediately clear if Potapenko was arriving or departing the
airport.
A telephone call to the Celtics was not immediately returned.
The Ukrainian-born Potapenko, 24, was traded to the Celtics in March from
the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 33 games with the Celtics last season, he
averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 rebounds.
