Pitino teleconference

The transcript and audio of a teleconference with Rick Pitino is at 
NBA.com. He didn't say anything really surprising:

1. Having slower guys like Vitaly and Danny is not going to deter him
from playing uptempo. In NY he had Ewing, Cartwright, and Jackson.

2. The Celtics are doing better because no one has an individual 
agenda due to contract issues. This seems like a bit of a shot at 
Ron Mercer. The exception to this is Fortson - but the fact that
this is his contract year will mean that he'll be motivated to
grab a ton of rebounds, not to take a ton of shots, which is good
for the team.

3. He likes the Denver trade because of the depth that it gives the
Celtics; depth is hard to get in a rebuilding situation.
