                 BOSTON CELTICS
                 The Celtics took a step backwards last season, and finished a
                 miserable 19-31. Here are a couple of reasons: Walker, Mercer, Pierce
                 and Anderson combined to average nearly 10 turnovers per game, and
                 only Anderson shot better than .450 from the field (.451). Unless
                 these numbers improve, the Celtics will be watching the playoffs this
                 season as well. Ron Mercer is gone, but the team has added Danny
                 Fortson, Eric Williams and Calbert Cheaney. Fortson brings toughness
                 to the team, and is a hot contender for the rebounding title. I expect
                 a slight improvement from last season. Walker and Pierce will get
                 around 18 points apiece, Pitino will make a stupid trade, and the
                 season will end in April. Prediction: 34-48 (6th)
