Around the time of Russell's tribute this spring he was a guest of radio 
personality Don Imus and was discussing Wilt's amazing abilities - including 
a 55 rebound game.  ln regard to that game Russell cackled "...and l was on 
the court watching him".

Even tho Wilt was always the enemy, having him as an obstacle put an extra 
stamp of greatness on both Russell and the Celtic teams.  Wilt was everything 
that Shaq should be but won't be.  He was Superman while Russ was more like 
Batman, getting the job done without the superhuman powers.  For those of us 
who lived through what was the greatest head-to-head rivalry in professional 
sports, a legend has passed on.
