Denver article

"A lot of people think it's all about money. It's not about
money. It's about where I'm going to be happy.

So turning down that 4 year, $28 million deal because you wanted to be paid
closer to Walker money wasn't actually about the money?

I know I am a Celtics partisan and that this Denver sportswriter has no reason
to be objective about another team, but calling Pitino a "Machiavelli" who
plays head games and repeating as though it were fact Tevester Scott's claim
that Mercer was told by the C's he had a contract extension waiting in Denver
doesn't give me a strong impression of this guy's journalistic integrity. This
whole thing reads like it was penned by Mercer's mom ... he's the nicest guy
in the world, he plays with fluidity and grace and heart and passion. Funny
that many on this list have found reason to question Mercer's on-court heart.

And I wonder whether that reporter has passed on details of those horrifying
rape allegations against Mercer and his good pal Chauncey. I hope they didn't
do it, but please, enough of the Mother Theresa bit. Does his writer not
consider that he might be setting Mercer up for failure?
