Pitino Says (3) His Style Will Work And He Loves Auerback

Pitino on 790, said his style should work better in the pros
than college, because of the shot clock. He said, there have
always -- during his 26 years of coaching -- been questions whether
his style would be effective, but he's won at BU, Providence,
the Knicks, and Kentucky. His style is effective at all levels,
as long as the players are in shape, and he feels that modern athlete
can play in his system.

Pitino loves Red Auerbach - He said he would do anything for him
(How about giving him back the title of President). Auerbach
was responsible for Pitino's son attending Georgetown, and Il Duce's
favorite part of being the Celtics coach is hanging out with Auerbach 
and picking the brain of Cousy and Heinsohn, and the rest of the ex-
Celtics (except for assistant coach Larry Bird).
