I think that Pitino is avoiding having a true "second unit" with no 
starters on the floor. Usually either Pierce or Griffin is on the floor
when the starters are resting which leaves only one spot on the second
unit for a 2 or 3. In this game, Cheaney took almost all of those minutes.
