This is a huge win for the Celtics. Now that it's over, I'll confess I was
convinced they were gonna get their butts kicked. Instead, we actually
outrebounded the Raptors?! And 103 points, what is this, an ABA game?

Tough to decide who was the bigger surprise, Griffin (14 points, 7 assists in
his NBA debut) or Cheaney (20 points, 6-6 on treys! Forget what I wrote about
him yesterday). Actually, the MVP should go to whoever was guarding Vince
Carter (3-10, 12 points -- you know Pierce and his 30 points loved that!). 

Not that I'm quibbling, but why didn't Waltuh and Williams play?

If the C's had made a statement like this at the beginning of last season, it
might have been a different 1999. But I'll take this win tonight; maybe they
can build on it and pick up where they left off 2 seasons ago.
