I kept an eye on Wayne Turner at the Nike Desert Classic held at Arizona
State here in Tempe ( 2 Blocks from my casa) and I gotta tell you he really
didn't impress me. Now I must also say that I liked his play in college and
I saw every game of Kentuckys that was televised this past season. I was
much more impressed with Chris Herrens play and I must admit some
prejudice as Chris went to Durfee High in Fall River my High Schools (New
Bedford High) arch rivals and I have followed his up and down career.
Still he truly stood out and considering he played with a fractured hand
makes his play even more impressive. As Joe stated Chris Clack is the real
deal as well and his versatility would be a plus as he can play equally
well as a shooting guard or small forward . He is a fearless defensive
standout as well. I read somewhere that in college he played against bigger
players at the Power Forward position and quicker guards and still stood
out. The few times that I saw him play last season he looked pretty darn
good. I was actually keying on Chris Mihm's play but Clack was good enough
that I ended up keying on him instead!! Check his stats at:

Lee Nailon also looked good as did Xaviers Posey. N.Arizonas Casey Frank
was solid and could be a sleeper. Just a few observations.Later.Mike
