Not to Worry!!!

Some of you guys are too much. I feel pretty good about the Celtics at this
point in time. Granted there are a few problems with the team just like
with any other team in the league. However, the reason I feel pretty good
about this team is because:

1. I believe that Rick Pitino is the best man for this job. He has been
a success everywhere he has been and has produced winners. I see no reason
why he won't succeed in Boston. His track record is excellent. I'd rather
have him than some recycled NBA coach. Recycling coaches brings back
memories of Kevin Loughery who got job after job in the NBA and never
produced any winners. What makes these owners think that these guys can
finally turn it around? How can a coach be fired in one city and then
rehired somewhere else? Pitino has forgotten more about basketball than
most of you guys have ever
known. I have to believe that he will make the right decisions for this
franchise.

2. The talent upgrade in the past two years is noticable. Granted that
there have been many player trades etc. and I lot of turnover but look at
the talent
level of this team now compared to 2 years ago. We have better personnel.
Isn't Rick Pitino primarily responsible for this???

3. Our young players will get better. Hopefully we can keep this nucleus
together. If I had my druthers and we had to lose somebody I would opt for
losing Mercer (hopefully getting something of value in return) than Battie.
However, I hope we can retain both of them.

I know it's fun to kick around stuff on these lists but some of you guys are
so negative about this team and about Pitino. Cheer up!!!!

Getting down from the pollyanna podium.
