one more thing on the Portland trade...



If you can't tell, Jim Jackson is a guy I've always hoped would end up in
Boston. I just think he's a Celtic-type of player. And we'd be getting him
in the prime of his career (he's 28 or 29). Plus, just think of the improved
bench personnel (Barros, Jackson, Williams, Battie and Cato) when compared
to last year's group (Barros, Minor, McCarty, Battie and Riley).

As far as the PF concerns go, I'm still not satisfied, but maybe Popeye and
Battie can hold the fort (with help from a VP-Cato lineup occasionally)
until something develops. After all, with improved depth you have much more
flexibility in future trade talks.
