Duncan...Spurs....Arena

David Aldridge reported on the NBA Beat this morning
on Sportcenter that if the Spurs can't get themselves
a new arena (Isn't the AlamoDome less than 10 years
old?)That Duncan may not resign with them next summer.
The Spurs have said that without a new arena, they
can't remain "competetive" and that Tim wants no part
of that, he's want to be somewhere where the object is
to win.

Hmmm, Wonder what he thinks of the Fleetcenter. Maybe
he should take a tour of the new "state of the art"
practice facility we now have.

Since the new CBA limits what teams can offer FA's, it
wouldn't be neccesarily an out-of-this-world contract
to try to sign him, rather, now FA's will be looking
at things other than money when they are choosing a
team. Hopefully the C's have made themselves more
attractive to potential FA's, as it should no longer
be just about the money.
