SPURS

I guess it's all in how you view it - I didn't think the Spurs were getting
any more benefit from the calls than the Knicks. In any other sport, if my
team wasn't in the playoffs or the finals, I'd probably be rooting for the
Eastern team, whoever they are, but this time that isn't the case. The
Knicks have surprised everyone by getting to the finals, and they're beat
up, I'll give them credit for accomplishing what they have. However, the
Spurs are an excellent team, they like each other, they play team
basketball, etc. and I hope they sweep the Knicks. Do you feel they got all
the calls in every playoff series they've played? David Robinson deserves a
championship too - he exemplifies everything a young person should strive to
be.
I enjoy watching the Spurs play basketball - sheer love of the game - played
well. They seem able to turn on the gas any time they need to. They remind
me of the great Celtic teams in many ways. Anyway, I thought the theory was
that the NBA only wants the large market teams to win it all? What happened
to that theory if you think the Spurs are getting the benefit of the calls?
They've broken the record for consecutive games won in the finals - they
must be doing something right.
