Moody Bible NBA Pre-Draft Camp

NBA.COM reports that two more NBA-hopeful point guards had their prayers
answered on the last day of scrimmages at the Moody Bible NBA Pre-Draft
Camp in Chicago:

-------

The (final) game featured a pair of fine performances by point guards
who in many years would be among the class of their position, Vonteego
Cummings of Pittsburgh and Louis Bullock of Michigan. But in the 1999
NBA Draft one of the deepest pools of point guard prospects in the 1990s
is available, with players like Steve Francis of Maryland, Baron Davis
of UCLA, Andre Miller of Utah, William Avery of Duke and Jason Terry of
Arizona expected to be selected in the first half of the first round.

On Friday, Bullock, an excellent three-point shooter, showed off other
skills by doling out nine assists without committing a turnover and
adding 13 points as his team lost by four points. Cummings contributed
eight points and seven assists with no turnovers to his team's victory.

FWIW, this is what CBS Sportsline has to say:

Cummings (6-4 195) is a fine ball handler who has excellent range on a
jump shot that he repeatedly gets himself open to launch. A tireless
floor running guard, Cummings can finish with flair off the wing or make
the key pass to set up a teammate. His speed and deft ability to be
where the ball is has allowed him to lead his team defensively.

During mid-season Bullock (6-2 195) finally hit his stride and finished
the season strong. Now he faces another challenge, that of playing a pro
position different from the shooting guard position he’s most familiar
with. Many college players struggle with the adjustment. Louis
auditioned at the Phoenix camp and appeared comfortable handling the
offense. If that can convert to success at the NBA level, then Bullock’s
star will certainly rise. An accurate perimeter shooter, Bullock will
offer an NBA team a solid weapon providing he makes the position
adjustment. The Chicago camp will continue to supply answers. Expect
Bullock to be selected during the tail-end of the draft.
