Good News From Jackie MacMullan: No Truth To Mercer/5th Pick Rumor

Jackie MacMullan was on WEEI and said the following:

- No truth to the Mercer to the Bulls rumor - Toronto does
not want to trade McGrady; Bulls are still unsure what they want
to do with their choice - They're well known for leaving everyone
hanging, by pulling out of deals at the last moment, i.e.
Pippen.

- There is a lot of interest in Mercer around the league.

- He wants the maximum, but the C's won't go that high.  She's
unsure how many other clubs will offer him what he wants either.

- Camby and Sprewell dislike Van Gundy.

- She predicts Indiana will win tonight.  Says they're a weird team.
The guards post up; 7-4 Smits takes 18-footers and averages 6
rebounds a game.
