Letting David go wasn't a mistake because

1)  He would not have come particularly cheap;
2)  Larry didn't like him as a point guard owing to
his shoot first mentality, so you can't blame Pitino's
misjudgement;
3) Pitino's problems with Billups would have been that
much worse with Wesley;
4)  He's still not that great.

None of these guys everybody likes can do what Kenny
can when he is playing well.
