Re: Samaki Walker

So now apparently the deal is Mercer and Ellison for
Walker. This still doesn't smell right. Ellison has
only one year left, and it's not like we can use his
2.5 million to add to the veteran exception, contra
what Tom Murphy says. I want a pick and/or Ansu Sesay
into this deal, but even then we have too many
forwards. Can Nash be involved? Unlikely. I don't
understand this deal. Even if you are in love with
Samaki Walker, it seems like he could be had for less.
The least Pitino could do, and this may well happen,
is to get himself relieved of Popeye Jones and his
three year guaranteed contract. That's the least a
team owned by Ross Perot Jr. can do to get a player
like Ron.
