Kings??

Hey all,

A friend of mine was telling me that he had either heard of a trade from
one of his contacts or that it was from somewhere in the media - now I
dont know where so I cant name a source, but I think that if its an idea
from his contact then its a fairly thought out one or if its fromt he
media then it is feasible.

Anyway the idea/rumor whatever you want to call it was ~ Boston trade
Pervis Ellison, Popeye Jones and Ron Mercer to the Sacramento Kings for
either of two packages.

Package A was Oliver Saint-Jean and Corliss Williamson

Why is it feasible? It seems that Williamson and Rodney Rogers games are
similar, both play three and four (tweeners) in a similar style of game
and both are traditional scorers who would help the second unit. Saint
Jean would make Bruce Bowen redundant and would play backup at both
swing positions..

Package B was - Oliver Saint-Jean, Jon Barry (re-signed) and Lawrence
Funderburke (re-signed).

Why is it feasible?

Both Barry and Funderburke have been mentioned possible Celtic free
agent acquisition candidates both of whom could be re-signed to longer
contracts than the Celts could give them and for a relatively cheap deal
have a quality bench taking shape in Funderburke, Barry, Saint-Jean,
McCarty, Barros, et al.

Comments?
