This fact has bothered me since the 1st word of this or any deal with the
Fakers.  In fact I was against any Elden deal for no other reason, beyond
knowing that West would have dumped his stiff on his.

At least in this deal we know he really wants Trav back and for whatever
reason RP is able to talk Battie away from them.  

This deal becomes perfect if they will take any roster hog, such as Dontae.

I would take MS over Popeye, as has been clear, but feel confident that
Popeye with Battie is probably going to get the work done.

You can't have them all.

   The only thing that scares me about this is that if Jerry West wants to
do
it, it must be good for that team from LA.  Anything Jerry West (without
debate the #1 GM in the game) wants to do is probably a good move for his
team
and a bad move for the other team.
   FWIW, a big NO on Schintzius unless he signs for league minimum for one
year and we have a roster spot for him without any sacrifice.
