New year/season stuff!!

Aren't we all happy the Celtics and the league will be playing this year?
Come May with the C's in the second round of the playoffs we'll really have
something to talk about.

First and foremost thanks to the few who kept the spirit alive on this list
during the long period of mourning, and I don't mean the Alonzo variety.
After coming to terms with the idea Ray was most helpful w/ the daily news
and a few key folks helped sort it out, such as Josh, Jim, Joe and our buddy
Warwick; let the running of the rumors begin.

In that light, ESPN's Celtics clubhouse page has the team going after
Geiger. He is asking for a doubling of his last contract amount of 1.4MM.
Isn't the number 2.8MM convenient in light of the likely cap money
available, though of course no cap values for this season have been
announced, have they? I guess for 3MM or less Geiger would probably be a
steal, but again I would rather spend 2MM on Stewart and really look to the
future and have a little extra for someone like Alvin Williams to backup and
learn under Kenny Anderson (what do you think Warwick, get off that beach
and come back to work already).

The big winners so far, the Celtics stockholders. Go out and buy a paper
and look at the #1 largest percentage gainer on the entire NYSE yesterday,
the C's at almost 50%. I own 10 shares and am partying like it was 1999.
When was last time the C's were noted on a national evening news, like they
were last night, with a clip of AW?

I can't wait for the 18th to see the moves and signings, and oh btw we came
home yesterday w/ our new baby boy, who was born on Sunday, over a week
early. With his 7 year old brother they might both play together on the
Celtics in the 2020 season, so says our son. What a neat fantasy for sure.
All are fine, and this should help make 1999 one hell of a great year.

Later,
Ode
