Generally when you hear Bill Walton speak, you say to yourself: "There's a

Where's the recruiting magic Rick Pitino was supposed to bring to the free agent market?
It certainly hasn't surfaced yet. Sure they re-signed Antoine Walker but for this franchise to move back
to the championship level, they really need to get some new blood in there; particularly with big guys.
They should get some shot-blocking from Tony Battie (traded from the Lakers) but let's remember Battie
was a virtual non-entity in the NBA last year playing for the Nuggets, who dealt him in the offseason to the Lakers.

Can the rebounding improve? Well, don't look to Pervis Ellison for help here as he was supposed to anchor down the
middle but ankle surgery will force him to miss the season. While Ellison is shelved, Popeye Jones returns, coming
off knee surgery in the offseason. The Celtics hope Jones, whom they obtained from Toronto last February, will be
durable enough to make significant contributions off the boards. But Jones will need minutes to produce rebounds,
a potential problem since he plays the same position as Walker.

Is the unemotional Kenny Anderson a good fit given Pitino's highly-charged personality?
I was very surprised when Pitino made the deal for Anderson, who's not a physical player, not an aggressive defensive
player, and he's not one of those emotional type of players. Pitino will settle for nothing less than a defense which
creates havoc for opponents so Anderson will need to play that style.
