Re: 3rd Overtime

Glad I stayed up (and awake) for the whole game. Also glad I'm more
mature (or just older) now--10 years ago, they'd have been scraping me
off the ceiling after one like this.

For a game to go 3 OT, all sorts of incredible things have to happen.
For instance, Mercer misses open bunny with 30 seconds left in 2nd OT,
then 5 seconds later fouls a 3-pt shooter who makes all three. How
likely is that? Instead of Boston icing the game, 5-point swing leads
directly to OT3. Or Vancouver setting a team record for FTMs (45 of 50),
but a couple of late misses allow the Celts to gain a crucial advantage.

Plenty of highs and lows, of course, but Toine and Ron made many huge
plays. Walker even made clutch FTs in OT. Dana hit the big 3 to extend
it beyond regulation, then set up DQ on a pick and roll for a
sensational, falling-down 3-pt play for the winning points. And
Pierce--**7** steals, including 2 in final 10 seconds to save the day.
Not to mention his 26 points.

This could be a landmark game in the growth of this squad.
