RE: Lewis and Cocaine

Paul thank for your logical response to this "tragedy". I could make
analogies to many dozens of events in recent history, to this event in
Celtics history, but the keys are 2 for me; first it is history. Yes we
all preach about history and our beloved franchise, but what is past is
past. Nothing will be changed with respect to the present day team, save
for the possible respect for human life, a great talent and person, and of
course the obvious risk of doing harmful things to your own body. But in
light of all that, I note my second item; that this is strictly a matter for
the family, the doctors and maybe the team management. It is a private
matter.

Call me an ostrich, but it is past, and it is none of my damn business. I
can only say I am glad I got to see Reggie play the times I did, because he
was truly great. Making his loss the complete tragedy it was. But what
greater a loss is his death than that of a young father killed by a drunk
driver coming home from work. Tragedies all.

Let us all move on,
Greg

The only thought I have on this subject is that every time I see it
addressed in print I avert my eyes just as if I were driving by an accident
on the highway. At this point I think the "whole Reggie situation" is a
very personal tragedy, the details of which, are none of my business.
