RE: Celtics vs Nets

Overall very good analysis, but I must question the Declerq comparison;
though Declerq is not an NBA quality starting center or an all-star for
sure, he definitely better than Jimmy McIL.

This signing, by the Sonics, a few years back, is one of the stupidest moves
during this decade. Ok, Ok sure bring up Pervis and Minor, potentially top
ten worst signings this decade, but Jim Mc is the worst. Now he isn't a
total stiff, and he might hang with DQ, we will likely get a chance to see
this a few times this year, but he is not superior to DQ in total. I do
recognize the Sonics offered him the money, and you can't fault him for
taking it, so like Dudley in Portland and this one deal, he is pretty smart
and his agent is a genius. I will give credit Wally up North for getting
anything of value in return, and dumping the contract. Ala the Nets getting
rid of that Yinka dude last year.

Include Barros (for total value only, I personally love Dana and want him to
stay in Green for life) and Trav of course (maybe he is worth that deal,
over the life of the contract, but any size contract was not a good deal for
our team), and consider that this team has had their fair share of curious
contracts (did someone say ML Carr).

An odd issue maybe on day one, but I always find interesting in most pro
sports the booms and busts regarding FA deals. Anyone else have some
examples?

2-0 on Monday,
Ode
