And here's what the Chicago tribune columnist
said about the Celtics in his basketball preview:

"Rookie of the Year: Paul Pierce, Boston.
He's got to get Antoine walker to pass him the
ball some.  But if he's does, he's good enough
and mature enough to put up big numbers in that
offense...

"Surprise Playoff Team: Boston Celtics.
With a short season and their up-tempo style,
they could sneak in, which could give Rick
Pitino a chance to bolt for a college job on 
a high note."
