Antoine is 7th among Eastern forwards in the All-Star voting, behind Keith Van
Horn!! But ahead of Glenn Robinson, so I guess the inustice balances out.
Pierce is 10th among guards, while Vitaly, somewhat surprisingly, is 10th
among centers. 

Man, was it a treat to turn on sports highlights this a.m. and watch the
Celtics blowing out a team, instead of the other way 'round. Noticed in the
box score that even though we blew them out, our stahtahs still played the
lion's share of the minutes. Cause and effect? Maybe Rick will get the hint,
as some of you have been writing, that playing your best players makes a lot
more sense than having the Stooge Unit get equal minutes.

Reading that Szostak article about parquet moments literally gavce me chills.
I'd never read that part about Russ sprinting the length of teh court faster
than a speeding outlet pass to swat away a shot. I also on SPortsCenter last
night saw a replay of Bird's faceplant on the floor and just couldn't help
cringing. I remember reading at the time, someone wrote: "That may be the play
that cements Bird's legend." Or something like that.

In other news, the Bulls waived Lari Ketner. Now that's gotta hurt. At one
point there was interest on this list in drafting him.
