Re: Pitino must go

Amen.

I also think that Pitino is a good coach...in college, that is. The level
of play in the NBA now has stepped up offensively but more on defensively
(physical type of play with all the banging and bodying up-despite the new
rules) to which his coaching style and habits counters and backfires on the
team (refer to loses!) His run and gun and press style of coaching has been
phased out years ago, so I wonder why he insists on this style.

When we were looking for a coach before we latched him, I was hoping we
would land Larry Brown. Great motivator and really squeezes out the best
out of what's given to him. But according to Bird (in his book), the
management and owners prefer an upbeat and more popular name...Pitino.
Well, it's already in the past so there's nothin we can do now but wait what
will happen to us with Pitino at the helm.

I've been trying my best to just sit and relax and at the same time be
patient with Pitino and his troops. But sometimes it's just obvious, he
ain't cuttin it.

I know I will be burned by Pitino fans in this list but it's just my honest
opinion to tell everybody what I think. This is what the list is for, isn't
it?
