The Boston Globe reports today on Potapenko
The third-year center says he is prepared to play anywhere the Celtics'
summer league teams travel. Pitino already has said there could be two
summer teams, one in Los Angeles. The coach can write Potapenko's name
on either roster tomorrow if he wants.
''I'm going to play,'' Potapenko said.
Most summer teams are filled with guys looking for multiyear contracts,
not by starters who already are armed with six-year deals averaging
more than $5 million per season.
