According to this, it would seem that if a player retires (Pervis), then his
salary would still count against the cap? Or is there an exception for
retirment? If there isn't an exception for death (Lewis) then I wouldn't
think there would be one for retirement.

I'm not saying that he isn't capable, but with Jaque Vaughn and Ryan
Robertson at Kansas, Pierce rarely, if ever, brought the ball up.
