Re: What's gonna happen?

I think they've already lost some fans, and if they don't get back to
basketball soon they'll lose alot more. Baseball losing the World Series
was the worst thing that happened, but even with the good year baseball had,
I know some former baseball fans who still won't watch baseball. Most of us
out here in the real world can't work up a great deal of sympathy for the
players. I think they're killing the golden goose and if they don't get
this settled the NBA will suffer greatly, IMO. Jordan won't say if he'll
play or not, yet he's getting involved in the talks. If the season doesn't
happen, he can just retire and forget it, but the others are in a different
situation.
One of the articles mentioned John Stockton being shouted down when he tried
to be a voice of reason (as I interpreted it, anyway). I'm with Tommy
Heinsohn - these players don't have a clue. When people are accustomed to
being involved with or watching a particular activity and it doesn't happen
they find other interests. That will happen, believe me. They've already
lost alot of fans. Pretty soon they'll lose us all.
