Mitch Lawrence: Celtics After Michael Stewart

Mitch Lawrence reports in today's New York Daily News that the C's have backed 
off of Matt Geiger, and are now concentrating on signing Sacramento's Michael 
Stewart as their free agent center. His athleticism would be a better fit in
Pitino's system, so sayeth Lawrence. 

In other news, Lawrence says Larry Legend has "dangled" Dale Davis for Latrell
Sprewell.  What a back court that would be with Miller and Sprewell.  Can you 
say Championship... The Timber boys think they can re-sign Googs, but Marbury
wants Garnett numbers, so that's iffy at the moment.... Oh-Oh for the rest of
the league: Jerry Krause mentioned the other day, that he can see Jordan,
Pippen, and Rodman back with Barkley joining them.  What are the Bulls going to 
have a $90 million payroll?
