                                Harrington is getting poised to bid

                                Johnnie Cochran reportedly will be retained by one of the Celtics players involved in
                                a civil suit presently in US District Court against Antoine Walker and Ron
                                Mercer of the Celtics, Chauncey Billups of the Toronto Raptors, and Walker's
                                friend Michael Ervin of Chicago. At the same time, the Middlesex County
                                District Attorney's office is considering whether to bring a criminal case in
                                state court against the four men, who allegedly assaulted a woman here last
                                year.
