Lakers news group

Right now, the lakers news group has to be one of the funniest because of
the loss to Utah. In case some of you haven't read the postings, read along:

On laker's loss:
---------------------
well the Lakers lost but they did it without cheating like thoes Utah
players! these are the reasons the Jazz cheated
1-the lakers only have one wife each, so they don't get all that extra help
that they needed.
2. they lakers don't have Gods prophet on there team Karl "Moses" Malone.
3. the Lakers don't have any old guys on there team that are so old and slow
that the refs feel sorry for them and give them all the calls.
4. Utah breathes that mountian air, that's not fair either, they should
breath the same air as L.A
5.the Jazz don't get all the news stories like the lakers, so they don't get
overconfident by reading the papers like the Jazz do. for example before the
season started, even though they had gone to the finals and sere returning
with there whole team intact, the press and all the tv host's said " out
west it's going to between the Lakers, Sonics, and Spurs"
6. Malone uses Rogane, that has to be cheating, it's not fair for an old guy
to have hair, he should shave his head like all the other old bald guys do.

Who should go & who should stay:
----------------------------------------------
Go:
Jerry Buss--old lecher has lost it. Being tight-fisted with West,
allowing the Clippers into the new arena (this will backfire as the L.A.
fans will quickly switch the new West/Shaq/Kobe LA team) and interfering
with the Jones/Ritchmond deal.

Del--nice guy who doesn't understand how to make gameflow adjustments
and is unable to motivate. Should coach at a midwest division 2 school.

NVE--bad knee, showed a lot of personal growth this year but his play is
much too erratic and is a defensive liability.

Rick Fox--good but not great. Not a good fit for this athletic team.
Consistently made poor passes and turned the ball over way too much, can
be beaten off the dribble or posted up by taller SFs. A backup player on
a championship team. Contract status suggests he's a goner.

Eddie Jones--a good guy and talented player who's inconsistent shooting
and lack of physical strength prevent him from excelling in rugged
half-court playoff basketball. Part of a package deal for a power
forward.

Eldon Campbell--very small hands, lack of personal fire and a modest
intelligence make this guy a perennial disappointment. Could be a
starting center for many teams. Could stay if some team wants Rooks
and/or insurance if West&co leave the lakes.

Stay:

West--only the greatest laker of all time and the best GM in the game.
Hard to believe he's probably leaving because of Buss' stupidity. I'm
not sure Kupchak can do the job. Does Magic
have the maturity? How about Worthy? Got to stop the stampede of guys
wanting out if West leaves.

Chick--still the best. A Southern CA institution.

Shaq--duh. If he leaves maybe Tim Duncan can fulfill his desire to play
for the lakers.

Kobe--the future. Just remember he's only 19 and still growing. His
intelligence, ability and desire to be the best destine him for
greatness.

Fisher--tons of heart and physical toughness make this guy a keeper.

Horry--sf yes. pf no. Lots of talent, injury-prone guy.

Mario&Corie--good role players, Mario has more upside.

On Kobe and Eddie:
---------------------------
If Eddie would get some killer instinct, he would be a dangerous
ballplayer...but I think that Kobe believes the "Kobe Bryant Hype" and he
should be traded to a place like Denver so he can be the star. That is all
he
wants...

What I am trying to say is Eddie and Kobe both suck if their attitudes don't
change....

On Jazz vs Lakers:
--------------------------
Are the Jazz really that good or the Lakers just really that bad?
