Gaston's Idea on $$$$

Recently Antoine Walker is being branded almost like a
villain in our mailing list for [reportedly] asking
100mil for 7 years. And Gaston has no intention of
giving such a contract.

What does Gaston the "buisinessman" think as today's
market value for an upper echelon player of Walker`s
calibre ? As someone else noted Shareef may be a 
more level headed and even, argubly, slightly better
player than Walker...and is about to recieve a big
contract. 

If we lose Walker and say go back to the draft, we
may pick up a Olowkandi/ Jamison/Carter etc. All these
guys will demand even more money 3 years from now.
Then what is Gaston's future signing ideas ??
So if Gaston does not want to pay AW and trade him and
go fishing for [diamonds in the rough" [good luck]
we the "fans" of Celts, Bird, Russel etc. could 
possilby be happy discussing drafts and lottery for
years to come.

We have a future very good [if not great] player in
our hands....a player who could pass, rebound and
shoot [getting better with Anderson as PG] well...
Let us not lose him and lose the chance of regaining
the good if not glory days...sign Walker please.

ps: If Pitino gets 7 million for screaming at the 
sidelines nad shouting expletives....why not Walker
15 million for playing.....May be Pitino should
take a few tips on coaching from Bird !!
