Rumours from LA

LA times is reporting that:
 a) The Clips might take the Kandi-man after all and are considering trading
down to a team which can offer them a point guard and a pick. Possibilities
abound here but
- Vancouver offering Antonio Daniels could be one scenario
- Toronto offering Billups + their pick could be another one except that
they have there sights set on Kandi-man as welll.
- Denver offering Bobby Jackson and their pick could be the wild card in
this assuming the Clips feel that Kandi man will drop down to 4 <which is
only possible in their small minds>.

Never mind taht none of the players named in the above scenario are point
guards but what the heck as long as the Clips think they are pg's it is OK.
I wonder if RP could offer Dana Barros and the pick and try his luck and
persuasive powers.

Assuming the Clips draft Kandi, it would also imply that they are out of
Austin sweepstakes and will therefore extend the contract of my favourite
Clip Lorenzen Wright <there goes my best case scenario, though I still have
hope because it's the Clips>.

b) Antawn Jamison another favourite of mine measured at 6' 7-3/4", 230 lbs
at the Chicago predraft camp. Obviously small for player that coaches want
to play at PF. The news is that both Jamison and LaFrentz are slipping,
Jamison because of size and LaFrentz because of reasons unknown..<could
somebody enlighten me in this regard>. I am just hoping that Jamison slips
down to about where the C's could draft him. I don't care about size, Mr
Hair has demonstrated that size is a highly overrated , it's fundamentals,
speed and quickness that counts.

c) The Lakers plan to start Bryant & Jones in the backcourt which has the
potential to rename LA from LALA Land to turnover city. They are also
planning to move Gangsta Hoopa a.k.a Nick Van Exel, Elden Campbell and also
Robert Horry. Could we have some interest in any of these guys. Well! IMO
Campbell could be of some interest, if they take Knight of our hands. I
wonder if it would happen though because the Lakers have higher aspirations
for their talent, they are interested in landing Webber in return..I would
say dream on LA..Petrie is not going to give his Mercedes for a beat up
Dodge (Oops what the hell I am saying, they are one and the same company
now..but you guys know what I mean). - Mishra
