Have there been any reports in Boston concerning what the Celtics have
actually offered Walker? I keep hearing that he and his agent want $105
mil. but hear nothing about the Celtics' numbers. How far apart are they?
Maybe they just don't think the kids' going to get much better. Maybe some
of us have been looking at Walker's talent through rose colored glasses. I
mean, if they thought he was going to become a spectacular franchise
player, $105 over 6 years isn't that bad. And if they're convinced he's not
going to develop much more, they can't give him another season to prove
their point and I can't believe they're going to "wait and see" on the CBA
outcome. If Gaston's not going to gamble on Walker's development, is a
favorable CBA outcome a better bet? I'm going out. More coffee...some
aspirin...Andrew Declercq, Walter McCarty, and Travis Knight actually
develop NBA caliber offensive games...everything is good! Right!?!
