RE: goodbye oh selfish one...



I have got to go with this side.  Although a good player with a lot of 
potential, he has the potential to be an undisciplined  cancer like Shawn 
Kemp or Chris Webber never making your team any better, just taking up 60% 
of your cap.  As I have stated before except for the boards,  80% of the 
guys in the NBA could have put up his scoring numbers had they been given 
the opportunity to launch away.  Do I blame him for asking for market value 
?  No.  Do I blame him and most of the rest of today's players for no 
loyalty ? yes.  As someone stated Stockton & Malone could have went 
elsewhere years ago for more money but didn't.  With Jordan, Stockton, & 
Malone we probably are seeing the last of the class acts.  Michael made 
about $3M a year until about 3 years ago I think, and enabled Chicago to 
get the Kukoc's , Harpers,  Rodman's who have played key roles.
Once you dump big bucks on one player he better be the real thing or your 
screwed for the next 10 years.  He has not shown he is worth the risk.
