Popeye Jones

Hi All,
        I believe Pitino will take a good look at Popeye's knee. People have
labeled him injury prone, and not a good rebounder. The facts tend to show a
little different story. The first 5 years Popeye in the league(exlude this acl)
he had only missed 17 games. An average of 4.25 games a year missed. This is
not that bad.
        
        Now lets look at rebounds. Before this year(only played 14 games
with Toronto eeekkk)He averaged 9.8 boards a game(6 defensive)Right now that
would put him 12th in the league. Throw in 9 points a game, and he seems
like he could fit right in to the defensive scheme.Like I said at the
begining it will depend on the knee!! What does everybody else think?? 
        Think about this to, I am not sure on this, I hope someone that
knows the salary cap will fill us in. But I believe we can sign someone
before him using that cap money and still ofer him a 20% raise. Because he
is our player.
